$2.75 Million Grant Awarded Through The Renewable Development Account (RDA)
2020 Capital Funding Legislation will provide the City of Granite Falls needed funding to replace Turbine #3 and repair the Hydroelectric Plant. Improving the city's hydroelectric generation capacity will provide ongoing revenues to the municipal utility and utilize a carbon-free renewable energy resource.
The City of Granite Falls is conducting a drawdown for construction on the concrete around the flood gates. This process is set to last 21 days. Weekly updates will be available on the City Website. The exact start date is unknown at this time due to water flow but will start sometime in July.
